Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox studied flute, piano and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. She survived on a student allowance and worked part-time to supplement her budget. Lennox was not happy with the quality of her skills compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox played flute in a band named Dragons Playground in 1976. However, she left prior to her group being asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent contest New Faces. Her main role was as the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. In this band, she got to know Dave Stewart and together they formed the duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began to work for her debut album as a solo artist Diva which was released in 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise from critics and the public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was released in October of 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her first solo album, and is a sequel to her art work designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go... Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. The Tourists were a new-wave group that had some recognition in the 1970s. Later, Lennox joined her fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox started her solo career with her first album Diva in the year 1992. The album was the inspiration of many hit songs like Why andWalking through the Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album, which was which was released in 1995, features songs that are re-imagined from her most popular songs including the No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale). She has released six solo studio albums and compilation albums.
